Webzen has launched a teaser site for a new mobile Idle RPG called Awaken Legends

Webzen, the Korean studio behind the hugely popular MU and R2 games, has just lifted the lid on its latest project.
Formerly known as “project F”, Awaken Legends is an idle RPG where you collect and upgrade heroes and deploy them in PvP and PvE battles.
There are 50 heroes to collect, each belonging to one of seven different factions. These include Human, Gifted, Cyborg, Orc, Elf, Nogoth, and Brandon.
Details are still thin on the ground, but it’s safe to assume that these factions will all have their own combat characteristics, while the heroes themselves will have different strengths and abilities.
According to the press release, Awaken Legends will have limitless worlds to explore. And because it’s an idle game, you can earn AFK rewards, allowing you to progress in double time.
Beyond the Battle
Apart from all the battles, it looks like you will also have a village to nurture and develop. By spending the rewards you earn both offline and online, you can create the perfect stronghold.
One of the other features Webzen likes to highlight is a unique new social system. We’re not sure what this will entail, but we do know that Awaken Legends will have a guild system. This allows you to team up with friends to maximize your rewards.
Simulation mode is another nice sounding feature. We suspect this will allow you to experiment with strategies and tactics without the risk of dusting and wasting resources.
Webzen hasn’t given us a release date yet, but we do know that Awaken Legends will be localized to America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Korea, and more regions.
The studio also has a teaser site and a Facebook page. Head there to see some of the game’s characters, get a glimpse of the in-game graphics, and learn about the latest updates.
Stay tuned for more information as we get it.
