TapTap Universe launches in Early Access exclusively on Android first

A new idle game for mobile gamers, TapTap Universe has finally launched in early access. If you’re looking for a new idle game to keep your number addiction going, this could be it. Well, if you’re a fellow Droid Gamer, of course.

TapTap Universe first on Android?

In a surprising way Announcement, TapTap Universe has exited the beta period and is entering early access. Still not the final release, well, launch release, this early draft is the first open taste of what TapTap’s massive idle RPG actually is. And it looks pretty great!

Set in the distant future, this idle game is another automatic chess style RPG. In the game, you explore space, collect new allies and build a team to create the strongest faction around. With a universe full of enemies, you have to be the strongest there is.

Currently, the latest version of the game is only available on Android and, oddly enough, iOS is skipped for the initial launch. While it will eventually come to iOS, it is currently an Android exclusive.

It’s not a huge success for us Droid Gamers, but it’s a win nonetheless. Sure, Apple often gets us huge premium games, but we’ll take what we can get.

Is it worth playing?

Whether TapTap Universe is worth playing is up to you, but we think it’s worth a try. At the end of the day, the game is little more than an AFK Arena clone, but sometimes it’s good to try a little or a variety.

However, the game doesn’t look much better than AFK Arena. Yes, it’s a quality looking idle game, but there are a whole bunch of high quality idle games on mobile right now too.

Nevertheless, TapTap Universe is a big release for its publisher. With its name there in the title, it should be supported for quite some time.
