iPhone 16 Pro said to bring ever upgrade in terms of display and other aspects. Here is all you need to know about 2024 iPhone.
iPhone 16 Pro is going to be a BIG deal for Apple fans! Back in 2017, Apple introduced the biggest upgrade to the iPhone lineup with the iPhone X — an almost all-screen iPhone with next-gen features. Ever since 2017, Apple hasn’t changed much with the iPhone and has kept introducing quality upgrades to several aspects. One such kind of an upgrade is now coming to the iPhone 16 Pro, suggests top-Apple leak ester and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In fact, he highlights that the iPhone in 2024 could finally bring an all-screen iPhone to the market.
However, Apple won’t employ the techniques used by several brands in 2019 to hide the camera cutouts and notches — pop-up camera tech. Instead, Kuo says that Apple could use the same kind of technology that Samsung has already used on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 — under-display camera and sensors. Apple is already inching closer to the notch-less iPhone with the iPhone 14 Pro this year and going forward, all of the TrueDepth camera system will be hidden under the display.
iPhone 16 Pro to bring BIG changes
This is what Kuo said in his latest note:
“I think the real full-screen iPhone will come in 2024. High-end iPhones in 2024 would adopt an under-display front camera alongside the under-display Face ID. A low-light condition is detrimental to front camera quality, and ISP & algorithm are critical for quality improvements.”
As Kuo highlights, the biggest challenge with the under-screen camera is its performance in low light conditions, which Kuo says would need a better ISP and more advanced algorithms to make the most out of the front camera. Currently, the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s 4MP inner camera is good enough for video calls but struggles in low light selfies.
While the 2024 iPhone, or iPhone 16 Pro is still in the development stage, the focus is all on the iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 range will bring some change to the face of the hero iPhone. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come up with new pill-shaped and hole shaped cutout to house the sensors and cameras — it will look like an exclamation mark! This will liberate some space around it but based on the leaked CAD renders, it seems the new design will take up more space than the notch. Apple will keep the smaller notch on the iPhone 14 and the new iPhone 14 Max.
