iPhone 14 Pro price: iPhone 14 Pro models to be more expensive? New leaks hint at price hike. What we know so far

The wait for the next smartphone by Apple’s next line-up will be nearly six months. However, thanks to the countless leaks and reports, most Apple fans are somehow aware of what to expect from the iPhone 14 series.

Radical design changes and upgraded cameras are some of the most expected improvements in the upcoming iPhone 14 line-up. However, new reports now claim that the iPhone 14 series might as well come with higher price tags.

Noted tipster AppleLeaksPro recently published a blog post enumerating the prices for the smartphones in the iPhone 14 line-up. The tipster has also explained how the Cupertino-based tech company will justify the higher price tags.

According to the tipster, the iPhone 14 Max with its 6.7-inch display will be the most striking aspect of the iPhone 14 line-up. The Max is expected to replace the existing iPhone 13 Mini model.

iPhone 13 Mini is currently priced at USD 699, while the upcoming iPhone 14 Max is expected to be priced at USD 899. This addition will reportedly bring changes to the price factor for all the devices in the line-up.

Below are the prices as listed by the tipster:

  • iPhone 14 – USD 799 (iPhone 13: USD 799)
  • iPhone 14 Max – USD 899 (iPhone 13 Mini: USD 699)
  • iPhone 14 Pro – USD 1099 (iPhone 13 Pro: USD 999)
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max – USD 1199 (iPhone 13 Pro Max: USD 1099)

The tipster goes on to say that the iPhone 14 Pro at USD 1099 would be the best price considering that Apple usually keeps the pricing of Pro models higher. According to the leaks, Apple is likely to reuse the A15 chip from iPhone 13 series. In order to justify the price, Apple may simply rebrand the A15 Chip as the A16 Chip.

According to the tipster, Apple is reportedly taking this decision due to the obstacles it faces in the manufacturing of the A16 and M2 chips. “Apple and its partners are struggling to manufacture all the A16 and M2 chips they need, and they have to prioritize one of them, and that’s going to be the M2,” read the post by LeaksApplePro.
