Games Like Genshin: Best Genshin Impact Alternatives

Genshin Impact is one of the most popular online games on mobile, PC and console. However, miHoYo’s online gacha game gets boring between updates, so you’ll want some games like Genshin to keep you entertained.

Fortunately, there are a lot of games like Genshin Impact! If you want that anime Zelda vibe all day, every day, you’ve come to the right place!

Best games like Genshin: Tower of Fantasy

Perhaps the most obvious clone of Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy is certainly one of its stronger competitors. The free-to-play gacha game developed by Hotta Studios is very similar to the title of miHoYo.

In Tower of Fantasy, you choose a male or female protagonist to explore the planet Aida. A planet in turmoil, Aida is overrun with mutant does damaged by radioactive Omnium.

Along with a colorful cast of characters, you explore a very Genshin world to fight against a very similar roster of enemies. Plus, you’ll fight them with a very familiar element-based combat system.

If you’re looking for games like Genshin for that sweet, addictive gacha, Tower of Fantasy has that too, of course. You use your premium currency to summon Simulacra, AI representations of heroes whose identities you can assume. Yes, that means there are anime girls (and guys) to collect.

If you literally want more Genshin Impact, ToF is a fantastic addition. In our review, we hated the fact that it was such a copy, but it’s still a good, solid game. However, it does have a significant cheating problem.

Noah’s heart

As far as Genshin clones go, Noah’s Heart might just be our favorite. It’s certainly an underdog compared to Tower of Fantasy, bunt Noah’s Heart is a little less dependent on what made Genshin so popular.

For example, Noah’s Heart leans hard in its oppressive world with a darker color palette and a more Black Desert-esque art style. It looks and feels different, but it’s still similar to Genshin.

However, Noah’s Heart stands out in a number of ways. It is a game that is more interested in exploring the world and acting more like an MMO. While Genshin and Tower of Fantasy both have MMO events, the latter more so, this game leans harder on them.

In Noah’s Heart, you explore the fantasy steampunk planet Noah. Whether on foot, horseback or airship, you can traverse the world with ease.

In addition, you will also find the typical gacha elements here. However, it is much less dependent on them than other games like Genshin. Still, they’re there and you can summon anime-style Phantoms based on historical figures.

If you have yet to try this game then get it here! We highly recommend it.

Honkai Impact 3rd

There is a reason why Honkai Impact looks like Genshin Impact. It is made by the same developers, miHoYo. In fact, this game is the precursor to everything that makes Genshin so popular.

Honkai Impact is the beginning of it all, an action packed hack and slash with addictive gacha elements. Conversely, it is not an open-world RPG like Genshin. In fact it is the opposite.

Instead of guiding your characters through a huge fantasy world, you fight in linear phases. They are also typical sci-fi. But it’s still like Genshin, trust me!

If you’re a fan of miHoYo’s gacha juggernaut for its combat systems, Honkai replicates that perfectly. In some ways, Honkai’s tighter fighting mechanics even surpass Genshin. Isn’t that surprising?

It’s not exactly what you’d expect, but it’s a very fun and addictive game on mobile. The huge success is also the reason we have Genshin Impact today.

If you’ve never tried it, we think it’s worth a try. Download it here!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

For this list we wanted to stick to mobile games. However, there will be those who are just looking for games like Genshin on any device. With this in mind, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an obvious choice.

The obvious reference point for Genshin Impact, Breath of the Wild, is the best version of this game. A beautiful open world that you can explore at will with no barriers, BOTW offers true freedom.

Exclusive to Nintendo Switch, though hopefully playable on Skyline one day, this is a must-have title. If you’re lucky enough to own a Switch and you live in Genshin, be sure to check this out.

If you only love Genshin for its gacha, you won’t find it here. As a premium game, BOTW does not rely on gacha mechanics. Instead, it’s a perfectly polished single-character adventure.

The Legend of Neverland

The Legend of Neverland is currently available to pre-register on Android and may just be the next great game like Genshin. Developed by GameArk, this MMORPG is a fantasy-inspired title that looks very Genshin-esque.

Although it is not out at the time of writing, this game looks like a very interesting Genshin clone. Set in the world of Cabala, this game is poised to become a fun, if not badly translated, competitor in the Genshin-esque genre.

The Legend of Neverland is similar to Noah’s Heart in the way it replaces some of the action with more social gameplay. Yes, the Genshin mechanics of exploring and cooking and fishing are here. However, there are also more social spaces for collaborating with others.

Plus, Legend of Neverland is much more focused on customizing your character than drawing others. While Tower of Fantasy also has character customization, this title is much more interested in letting your character evolve with you.

If you want to pre-register, watch the game here!
