A new update has just been released for the Dead Cells Android port that brings Break The Bank, Enter The Panchaku, and Breaking Barriers content to the Play Store. The patch is now live and the content is free if you already own a copy.
Get that money
Break The Bank challenges you to sink your teeth into a new and extremely shiny biome, The Bank, which can appear randomly after taking out the final boss in a run. Entering is optional and you must decide if the risk is worth the reward.
The bank is in trouble. It brings with it three new enemy types, including the Gold Gorger, which becomes more and more difficult to deal with as it gains more money to chew on.
Fortunately, with the harsh new biome and the gold-digging monsters, you get three new weapons and mutations to help you further. All of these have an ongoing money theme. The Gold Digger mutation gives you gold on hits, and the Gold Plating mutation means hits gain gold instead of health. The synergy opportunities are intense.
A helping hand
Breaking Barriers is the accessibility update that came to PC in June. Breaking Barriers adds a few new options to make the Dead Cells Android port easier for everyone to play and enjoy. You can adjust the font and size, change the input and adjust the difficulty of your playing experience exactly to your liking.
Finally, there’s Enter The Panchaku, which adds the mythical panchaku weapon. It’s actually two frying pans tied together with string, but the stats are nothing to sniff at.
In addition to numerous minor rebalancing, the Enter The Panchaku update brings with it some extremely vital content. You can now pet your pets at the end of levels. It’s all worth struggling past the monsters.
