Have you ever played a game where you just say, “Damn, this would have been great on mobile.” For me that is CrossCode, a beautiful RPG linked to PC and console. But no more, because you can now play a brilliant CrossCode Android port.
How to Play CrossCode Android Port
Created by homebrew developer Namnodorel, this CrossCode Android port is a dream come true. This port, called CrossAndroid, is actually a wrapper that allows the PC game to run on Android devices.
To play the game you need to download the APK from Namnodorel’s GitHub here. After that, install the APK and you’ll see more instructions to get the game running on Android.
You need to have the game and Java installed on your PC to get the necessary files. On the PC, press [Windows-Key] + R and type “cmd”. Type “java -version” in the command prompt and press enter.
Next, you need to get all the files of a game from your PC. If you bought the game on Steam, you can find the files here: “C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCrossCode”.
Using a program called Jobbifier, you need to convert the game’s “Assets” folder. Place the Assets folder and the Jobbifier files in the same folder and run the program. In the program, make sure that the file is named “de.radicalfishgames.crosscode”. Then press “Create OBB”.
Finally, you need to put this new OBB in “Android/obb/de.radicalfishgames.crosscode” on your Android device. Now you can play CrossCode Android!

Is it worth it?
An ambitious, beloved RPG squeezed onto mobile, this CrossCode Android port is well worth checking out. If you’re a fan of retro RPGs, this is definitely a must-have.
In addition, you will be able to play the game in a number of different ways. Even in this raw state, CrossAndroid supports touch controls, controllers, and mouse and keyboard controls.
It is one of the more finicky games to work on mobile. Until there’s an official port, though, it’s the best way to play a fantastic RPG.
